Description
We call this poster a “Challenge Chart” rather than a chore chart, because we want it to be used for all areas of growth! Whatever your kids are working to progress towards! Not all kids (especially younger) are motivated by money, so the rewards section can have a dollar amount, and experience (date with mom and dad) or something else they are wanting to earn.
There is a line for Name, Challenge, and then the Reward.
If you are wanting more squares because the reward is something extra big (like a family trip), each square can be divided into 4 more squares, creating 4 times as many check boxes. For challenges that are extra difficult, or for younger children that need to be rewarded more quickly, each action can earn more than one checkmark, thus earning the reward more quickly.
I purposely made this Family Challenge chart in a way that can be customized for all family sizes and scenarios. Here are a few examples:
Name: Ashley Challenge: Memorize a scripture Reward: Movie night with friends
Name: Tyler Challenge: Practice the piano Reward: $10
Name: Susie Challenge: Do Your Morning Routine Reward: Ladies night out with mom
